New Photo

Why, oh why, must we take another picture? The last one is only a few years old. And it was taken in my pre-hospital-weight years. *Sigh* Those were the days. But, rules are rules so off we went.
  • Photographer - We begged. We pleaded. We bribed. And finally, the world renowned photographer that took the photo for our last adoption agreed to come out of retirement and shoot us again. Okay, it's Jeff's sister and it only took one phone call. Thanks Michelle!
  • Wardrobe - We lacked inspiration in the wardrobe department and elected to don the same ensembles as last time. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  • Location - Don't laugh...we decided to shoot at the campus where Michelle and I work. They pay a ton of cash to keep the campus beautiful so why not take advantage of the scenery?
  • The Result - We got 3 decent choices before the battery ran dead on our camera. Vote for your fav using the poll at the right and maybe, just maybe, your choice could end up on our "dear birthparent" letter. Act now! Time is limited.

Some restrictions apply. No purchase necessary. Void in Maine, Delaware and Rhode Island. See package for details. Limited to supply on hand. Despite all of these warnings, there is no real prize in this contest. Just the satisfaction of getting a vote.

Option 1 (the park bench)

Option 2 (the wind blown look)

Option 3 (the zen garden)

The winner by a hair...THE ZEN GARDEN. (Get it, by a hair? Cause it just beat the windblown look. That's funny stuff.)

The park bench (4%)

The wind blown look (41%)

The zen garden (54%)

Hi Lori! OK. To start off, I want to thank you so much for a very entertaining visit at Lexie's celebration. It was so nice to see you and Jeff out of the hospital setting! Not to mention, you two are very easy to get along with. You're just a barrel o'fun!

Now, down to business. The photo. I looked and looked and looked at the photos and was drawn to the windblown look every time. Both of you look so carefree and relaxed. It was a picture that just called out..."Look! We're fun, we are enjoying a nice day and don't even blink at the sign of a breeze. Pick us!" It's my favorite so far. My #2 pick would be "The Zen Garden". Again, it's light and carefree without appearing "posed" even though it's obviously a posed pic. KnowhatImeanVern?

Good luck on the photo!

I can't wait to see which one you choose as "the picture".

Hope all is well and you are enjoying what's left of the summer. We'll be up on the 8th for the Cancer Hero's celebration and hope to see you, even if it's brief, sometime during that weekend.

Love to you,
Cat

I'm kind of feeling the zen garden option, myself. Just in case you are interested, your photographer forgot to mention that she is running a special two sessions for the price of for the price of one. I am willing to come out of retirement any time for my two favorite models. Michelle

jeff looks the same in all three... your hair is great in the windblown one, but your smile is great in the zen garden one. so i'm torn. i voted for windblown b/c you know how important hair is to me!! but, i almost voted for the zen garden, in case you were wondering! - Becci :)

I voted zen garden, but like Becci, I was torn between that and the windblown look. I wanna know how come BOTH of you are so photogenic????!!! I don't think Kevin and I have any pictures (since our wedding when we took pics for like 2 hours) that both of us look good in.

Looking forward to seeing which one is chosen. I'm so excited for you guys!!

This would be so much better if we'd taken a "before and after" shot. Picture us in paint stained work clothes covered in dry wall dust (Jeff) and thinset (Lori) just 20 minutes before these were taken. Now that would be the "real" us. In fact, when I looked at these pics on the bigger screen, I saw some thinset in my hair. Lovely.

The pictures are really good. Jeff does look the same in all of them. You both have such nice smiles. I also liked the wind blown look, but the zen garden is more you.

Ok - here is my first time coming out of the "stalker" woodwork. You just made the prize so enticing.
And the Wendy's choice award winner is......
number......
t..
three.
(your theme music - "working in a coal mine" or "we are the champions" begins playing now.)

Number 3 is my fave!!! Do you get any wallet sizes to share with friends and family? If so I am putting in my request for one now, because I know the quantity is usually limited.

Lori,
I chose number two for a couple of reasons. You both looked relaxed and happy. Also the wind blown look said we are fun and flexible people which is so true. Liz G.
